Message	into production, with only minimal changes to meet new safety and emissions regulations, then the development costs wouldn't be very great at all. They would have to tool up the assembly lines again, which would cost money, but overall I don't think it would be quite as expensive as it was originally. But then again, what car company in their right mind would bring back a model that is over 15 years old to try to compete with new models from other companies? Nissan wouldn't gain too many new buyers at all b/c of the percieved age of design, and almost none of the Z32 freaks who signed that petition will buy a new Z32 when they already have one.
